Salsa - Intermediate Cuban salsa + Rueda de Casino + LA style salsa
If you have already danced salsa at level 2 or higher, or if you have equivalent good foundations in salsa, you are welcome to join this course where we will go through the basics of Line Style Salsa (LA style).
The LA style is the more showy, jazz-inspired dialect of salsa with many cool moves and styling. More experienced salsa dancers usually know both Cuban and LA Style, and on the dance floors in Uppsala and Stockholm, you see both styles about equally often.
What are improver classes?
For those of you who already dance salsa and want to learn more about technique, steps, musicality, communication, etc., we offer these "improver courses." The courses will have varying content for each session and will be adapted to the different needs of the participants. It is at this course level that we learn the most common elements of Cuban salsa, Line Style Salsa (LA style), and Rueda de Casino. Since there is so much to learn, you are welcome to take the course multiple times.
To make it interesting for both new participants and the more experienced ones in the group, the course will focus on different themes each time, and great consideration is given to the participants' needs and wishes. Each lesson also includes both easier and more challenging elements so that everyone can develop quickly based on their own capabilities. Those of you who are new to the group can learn a lot from the more experienced participants, which helps the group develop quickly.

A membership fee of 100kr is added. This fee is payed only once per year.

Our ambition is to have the same number of men and women in the courses. Therefore we will give priority to those who sign up in couples (This does not apply to solo dances like Street, Flamenco or Jazz).
